About Me
Welcome! As an educator, I have joyfully witnessed the transformative effects of mindfulness both in and out of the classroom. With over a decade of experience teaching adolescents, RYCT and RYT-200 certifications, and a wealth of expertise in social-emotional learning, I craft personalized mindful practices to ground, align, and ignite your everyday experience.
Mindfulness has the capacity to transform each moment of our lives. From how we begin each day, how we move through classes, jobs, and into our activities, to how we gather and communicate with friends, use our screens, nourish our bodies, and increase our capacity for restful sleep, mindfulness is at the core of our experiences.
Mindfulness is a teachable skill that allows us to experience greater concentration, lessened anxiety, and a greater sense of vitality. When we rise and greet each day with gratitude, infuse our waking moments with breath and movement, and learn how to optimize and restore our sleep, we can be so much more productive, alive, and joyful. When we learn how to calm our central nervous system with ongoing mindful practices, we are able to level up in so many ways: in the classroom, on the field, and beyond. Working together, we will craft a plan that infuses personalized mindful practices into your day in an accessible, encouraging way.
My undergraduate and graduate work is in English literature, Philosophy, and Secondary Education. The core of my social-emotional training is through the Yale Center for Emotional Intelligence, and my RYT-200 and RCYT training is from Heaven Meets Earth Family Yoga in Evanston, IL. I am also a certified special educator (LBS-1). I work with all ages, but have a particular affinity for the AYA population (adolescent young adults), crafting approaches to assist with educational anxiety, dynamic motivation, time management, stress reduction and ADHD.
